No. There is no different tax rate for BVI offshore
companies and local BVI companies. All companies in the BVI are incorporated
under the BVI Business Companies Act, whether they are used locally or as an
offshore company and have the same Zero corporate tax rate.
Some jurisdictions have different tax rates for local companies and offshore
companies. The BVI used to have separate tax rates as well. Jurisdictions also
stipulate what an offshore company can and cannot do within the jurisdiction
where it was registered.
The offshore jurisdictions with the Zero tax rate for offshore companies and a
higher tax rate for onshore companies are unwilling to forego the current tax
revenues they are receiving from their locally operating
