No. You cannot use the same company name for a new BVI
company. You can use the same company name in another offshore jurisdiction if
the name is available for incorporation there. If you are only interested in
incorporating a BVI offshore company then an option would be to register a
company with a similar name.
You would have to adjust the company name by adding or removing a word or two.
Some names can be rejected by the BVI Companies Registry if it is too similar to
another BVI company name. The cost to restore a BVI company can be significant
depending on the number of years the company has been struck off and the cost of
a new BVI company or a new company in another offshore jurisdiction is generally
a lot cheaper, so many clients try the cheaper option.
